Course Description: Veterinarians rely heavily on their technicians to monitor the patient for both subtle and obvious changes in status. During this Staff Bootcamp, we will begin by building up from the fundamentals of patient monitoring (It's more than TPR) to recognizing how this affects the pet's treatments, fluid therapy, and anesthesia. During the afternoon, we will launch into an in depth discussion of anesthesia monitoring including how to troubleshoot both the equipment and the patient

About the Presenters
David R. Bennett Mr. Bennett received his MBA from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from Lewis University. He has 24 years of business management and leadership experience, with 21 years in veterinary and human health care management. David served as a practice manager for two veterinary practices for over five years and is currently President of Veterinary Management Solutions, a consulting company providing veterinary practice management consulting services. Much of David’s work has involved operations management, human resource leadership and development, financial management and strategic planning.
Rachel Eddleman, DVM After her graduation from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Eddleman worked for three years at a mixed animal practice, followed by more than three years in an emergency/critical care hospital. She is currently the medical director at An-Emerge Animal Emergency Clinic in Cornelia, GA. Dr. Eddleman was the 2007 recipient of the GVMA Recent Graduate Award.
Wendy S. Myers Ms. owns Communication Solutions for Veterinarians in Denver, Colorado and consults with veterinarians and industry on client service, marketing and hospital management. She is the authored and produced three books and five videos on veterinary practice management. For five years, Wendy served as editor in chief of Veterinary Economics, and she has published articles in AAHA Trends, Veterinary Economics, Veterinary Practice News, Veterinary Forum and The Team. Wendy has taught marketing communications in the master’s degree program at Colorado State University. She is a past national president of the Society of Professional Journalists.
