Unique, free online CE opportunity available from GVMA
The Georgia Veterinary Medical Association has partnered with Abbott Animal Health to offer members a free and unique educational opportunity. Unlike traditional educational forums, the GVMA is working with Abbott to determine if learning can be enhanced by new technologies and the online experience. Here is how the program will work:
Online CE modules are combined with live online discussions featuring key opinion leaders and other practicing veterinarians from Georgia.
From Wednesday, November 24 to Monday, November 29 , participants are able to log on to AbbottAnimalHealthCE.com and watch a two-hour CE module entitled Monitoring During Anesthetic Maintenance and Recovery with Dr. Nora Matthews of Texas A&M University.
Then, on Tuesday, November 30 at 7:00 PM ET, participants will join Dr. Matthews for an online discussion about the ideas presented in the modules, including an open question and answer segment. The chat will be conducted via Microsoft Live Meeting, and a conference telephone call. To participate, access to a computer and a telephone (preferably a landline) are needed. Instructions for logging on, and dialing in to the event, as well as an access code for the Abbott CE modules, will follow once participation is confirmed.
Participants will receive two RACE credits for the completion of the online CE modules, and additional credits may be available for the online discussion. Following each event, participants can offer feeback via an online survey.
To RSVP for the event with Dr. Matthews, and get an access code for Abbott’s online education program, please contact Clare Reagan at email@example.com.
Space is limited to the first 40 GVMA members responding.
