How GVMA Members Can Get Involved

American Pet Classics Tag Program - Participating veterinary hospitals and clinics can offer these tags for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to the GVMA Foundation. The foundation earns approximately $500 per month from this easy to use program. The potential to double those earnings and fund the foundation projects is up to you! Call the GVMA office at 678-309-9800 for more information.

Check Collection and Recovery (CCR) - The GVMA Foundation receives a portion of fees collected by CCR for bad check collection for GVMA members. To sign up for this helpful program, call the GVMA office at 678-309-9800. The more members that are signed up, the larger the fee donated to the foundation.

Future Program
Rescue Mask Program for Pets – The goal of this multi-year initiative is to equip every rescue vehicle in Georgia with a rescue mask for pets. Although the program is just in the planning stages, we hope to engage local youth in this effort. Maybe you would like to get involved! Contact the GVMA office at 678-309-9800.

Other Projects:

  • Public education on the responsibilities of pet ownership and the role of the veterinarian - obtain information through the foundation and make it available at your office and in civic club presentations.
  • Support of assistance and search & rescue animals
  • Textbook gift program for students of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine - have your clinic become a partner in the annual textbook donation program. Contact Dr. Mike Younker at 770-460-0090 for more information.
