Radiology Certification

Have all of your employees registered with the Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR) and certified to use radiology equipment? If the answer is no, the GVMA has what you need.

This six hour video training course, on VHS tapes or DVDs, was created in collaboration with the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Department of Anatomy and Radiology to demonstrate proper procedures for the utilization of radiology equipment. The program comes with a certificate of completion of approved radiology training by DHR.

Due to recently enacted Georgia legislation and effective July 1, 2008, the Health Care Section of the Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) will no longer be performing routine periodic surveys of x-ray machines.
 
ORS will continue to perform initial state registration surveys and shielding design reviews, as well as complaint investigations which allege that an x-ray machine is not being used safely. (continued - click here to for more)
