29 Aug Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort
by Dr. Wendy Cuevas, BS, BVSc, MPH, DACVPM, GVMA Director of Veterinary Services
The GVMA Foundation is closely monitoring the situation in Texas and Louisiana due to Hurricane Harvey. This event is bringing to light the importance of the veterinary community and becoming a member of the Veterinary Reserve Corps. I strongly encourage you all to complete the required ICS courses and register through the Georgia Department of Public Health, SERVGA, https://www.servga.gov/
As the coordination efforts in Texas develop, the GVMA remains committed to assistant in any way we can. In the meantime, if you would like to donate to animal relief efforts, please consider the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation or the American Veterinary Medical Foundation.
