13 Sep Hurricane Update: GDA temporarily suspends interstate movement requirements

Animal interstate movement requirements for entry into Georgia are temporarily suspended for the transportation of animals from areas affected by Hurricane Florence in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The suspension of entry requirements applies to animals entering Georgia from Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina only.
In an effort to facilitate the evacuation efforts in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, the Georgia Department of Agriculture has temporarily suspended interstate movement requirements for animals affected by an evacuation order. Additionally, Virginia, North and South Carolina have temporarily suspended the import and export requirements for the transportation of animals from the affected areas.
This suspension is temporary and will expire on September 30, 2018, unless it is rescinded or extended.
