An opportunity to share your antibiotic knowledge.
Antibiotic resistance is a global public health issue, threatening both people and animals. The role of antibiotics in development of antibiotic resistance is largely unexplored in small animal medicine. The Colorado School of Public Health is launching a survey project focused on antibiotic use in small animal practice. Additionally, they are seeking veterinarians’ professional opinions on antibiotic resistance and antibiotic stewardship. This veterinary-led nationwide survey is the first of its kind in the United States, and results will aid in informing future tools and training resources for veterinarians and veterinary students.
We invite all veterinarians who prescribe antibiotics to companion animals to participate in this short survey. Your participation will be valuable to understanding the complex relationship between veterinary medicine and the use of antibiotics. The survey will be open until February 1st, 2019 and can be found at:
