Certified Veterinary Assistant Program
The GVMA now recognizes and certifies the designation of Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA). This CVA program encourages continuing education for veterinary medical personnel, enabling them to become more informed, skilled, and trusted members of the veterinary medical team.

Wellness Assistance
Members receive confidential help for personal issues through the GVMA Resilience & Well-Being Committee. This is a group of knowledgeable and concerned peers, who are available to work with individuals in trouble, as well those around them.

State salary information
Search wages and other salary information for the veterinary industry through the GVMA website. This information is provided by the Georgia Department of Labor.

The Spay/Neuter Reimbursement Grant
Through the GVMA Foundation grants are available for GVMA member veterinarians for spay and neuter procedures for clients that can’t afford these procedures. The grants are disbursed through the Georgia Department of Agriculture and members must apply each year.
